The Spotted Hyena
The spotted hyena is well known for its hysterical ‘laughter’. The hyena has extremely strong jaws and can even crunch through bones. It is said by most to have the strongest jaws in the animal kingdom, although it is not scientifically proven. Hyenas are very powerful and can swim at the bottom of pools, and have been known to run at 50 kilometers per hour for over 3 kilometers if it is giving chase to prey. Hyenas are generally known as scavengers but do hunt for prey.
